Zaafarana, Egypt, is located at the Gulf of Suez, 240km north of Hurghada and 219km south of Cairo. Sometimes known as the Egyptian Riviera, Zaafarana's sandy beach and shallow waters are what it's all about. A 2km beach provides you with many lagoons to play in. This spot isn't yet as busy as other Egyptian destinations, but is quickly catching up, due to its impressive offerings. Head half a kilometre out, and shallow waters quickly disappear, replaced with choppy waves as you enter the open sea. Visit from Mar-Sep and take advantage of the consistent cross shore wind. Traveling to Zaafarana, Egypt

It is best to fly into either Cairo or Hurghada airports. Due to the short, five-hour flight time, Egypt has become popular with European kitesurfers.
