long rides. The beach at Westhaven is tucked below the South Jetty directly west of Westport. Westhaven is a premier surfing location in Washington. Winter is best for surfing as the waves are rather small in summer; ranging between 1-3m in height with a NW, W or SW swell.
The steady SE, NE or E winds are best for this spot at an average of 13 - 24 knots. The beach can get crowded on summer weekends. The water is cold all year round and a wetsuit is recommended, add booties and a
hoodie in winter.
