Stevenson is in the heart of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area in Washington. It is the windiest spot in the Gorge.   Both W and E winds are steady and constant from May to September with an average of 15 – 20 knots.    The water is butter flat with a small chop of about 1m high, depending on the wind direction and speed. The river is wide and flows to the East, you can rig up your gear on the on the grass.   It is recommended for intermediate to advanced riders, due to the rocky shore and you need to be able to stay upwind. Be careful of the bridge and stones.

Stevenson is located on the Columbia River. The nearest town is Hood River and the closest city, Portland in Washington, USA.   Parking is available behind the industrial building on the river.
