About Scarborough, S.Africa

Scarborough is a seaside village with unspoiled beaches and mountains.  It is a popular surf and kitesurfing spot and is on the door step of the Table Mountain National Park with views of the Cape of Good Hope.  It lies just beyond the small town of Kommetjie.  Scarborough is the place to be for big wave riding sessions. The waves are often Mast high and clean but be aware of the wind on the inside as it is offshore and can be tricky to get back to the small beach.  You should also look out for the rocks.  It is the perfect kite-boarding spot for the more advanced riders, definitely not a beginners spot.  The best winds are SE, S and SW.  Kiters often come here when there's almost no wind in Table View or Big Bay.
