Playacar is located south of Playa del Carmen, on the east coast of Mexico. Mexico's subtropical climate and warm ocean temperatures make it a perfect destination for kiteboarding, without the need for a wetsuit.
Visit during the windy season, which runs from November through to May. Throughout these months, the trade winds guarantee some excellent easterly winds, with the best conditions produced on a northeasterly, cross-onshore.
This idyllic spot boasts uncrowded, white sandy beaches, with wild tropical jungle, and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The sea is mainly flat to choppy, making the area a fantastic freestyle and freeride paradise.
