About Paros – Pounda Beach, Greece
Pounda beach is the most popular beach on the Greek island of Paros. Expansive and sandy, it benefits from steady, side-shore, northerly winds, and offers plenty of room to set up and launch. The winds blow nearly all year round. Although, the most reliable breezes and time to visit is from Jun-Oct. The best wind direction is a north westerly, cross on shore.

You will most likely fly to Paros via Athens or Thessaloniki, so there are good international links available. There are also plenty of car- and moped-hire companies, which could be a good thing, as there is so much to see all over the island. That said, those not wishing to hire a vehicle needn’t miss out on the sights, as there is a good bus service throughout Paros.

There is a wealth of bars, cafes, and restaurants on offer, as well as a range of activities from boat hire and boat trips to water-skiing and jet skiing - you can even go bungee jumping!
