North America

The North American continent offers various conditions. The climate ranges from temperate in the south to sub-arctic and arctic to the north. The opportunities for kitesurfers are epic, from the Great Lakes of Michigan to the beaches of Hawaii and Florida, and the bays of Mexico, and, as with most things on this continent, everything is outsized and substantial. This does also include hurricanes along the Atlantic coasts, however, so bear in mind that hurricane season extends from the start of June through to November – otherwise you could be getting bigger air than you bargained for!
