Knysna, Sedgefield, Buffalo Bay, Brenton and Rheenendal make up the Greater Knysna area and are located along the world renowned South African Garden Route which is approximately half way between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, making it the ideal destination from which to explore the Garden Route.  Myoli Beach is situated in a town called Sedgefield which is 24km from Knysna. Sedgefield was first part of a larger farm called Ruigtevlei and slowly grew into a small town. The predominant wind directions are SE, S and SW. The SE creates massive swells, making it the perfect spot for wave riding. If you're looking for some flat water, the Sedgefield lagoon is a super spot on high tide.

The closest Domestic Airport to Sedgefield is located in George which is approximately 33km south.  Car Rentals are also available here. Otherwise, the closest International Airport would be Cape Town International.

Activities in the area range from paragliding, hiking, golf, bird watching, kitesurfing and whale watching.   There is ample space on the beach to rig up your gear.  Pop in at the Pili Pili Beach Bar after a session on Myoli Beach. www.pilipili.co.za.  The kitesurfing shop is situated on the main road, the N2, as you come into Sedgefield.  Accommodation is available at the Pili Pili Beach Bar which has stunning views.
