About Mui Ne, Vietnam

The coastal town of Mui Ne is situated in southern Vietnam and surrounded by the South China Sea. When kitesurfers refer to Mui Ne, they are actually talking about the Bay of Phan Thiet. The tropical beach and its particularly strong windy season (November through to April) make the area a popular holiday choice for the travelling kitesurfer. You will definitely need to bring a small kite, as strong sea breezes develop throughout the day, regularly blowing at 30 knots plus. Mui Ne boasts superb wave-riding conditions, with overhead surf and perfect breaks scattered along the coast. There are many kite centres, due to the perfect cross-shore wind conditions and 17 km of beach. We particularly recommend Storm Kiteboarding which has been operating in the area for over seven years and uses IKO-qualified instructors.
