Milnerton is known for its lighthouse which is situated behind the beach and is a beacon for ships entering Table Bay.  Milnerton Beach is a kitesurfing spot for all levels but is best on calm days.  The waves are small and the water in the lagoon is shallow.  The SW is recommended for the lagoon, but this spot is notorious for kite accidents especially on a NW due to gusty conditions.  If you are kiting at Milnerton on a NW, it is recommended to stay out of the lagoon.  The SE is also gusty and not recommended.
