Manzanita is one of the windiest spots on the Oregon coast. It is recommended for intermediate to advanced riders for wave and freestyle riding. The waves vary in size depending on the swell and get up to 1 – 3m height. It is a soft, sandy, wide and open beach with ample space to rig up your gear; it does not often become crowded here.

kitesurfing are from March to October on a clean and steady NW wind direction with an average of 10 – 25 knots.
The temperatures are around 16c in summer and a low of 4c in January. A full wetsuit is recommended with booties and gloves.

Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain extends dramatically down into the sea on the north end of Manzanita. A trail up the mountain leads to a
breath-taking panoramic view of the northern Oregon coast and the Pacific Ocean.
