Larkspur is a city in Marin County, California, United States. Larkspur is located 4.8 km south of San Rafael and north of San Francisco.   It is a super shallow kitesurfing spot but is only recommended for intermediate to advanced riders and works best on a SW from March to October with an average of 5 – 15 knots. On a lower tide there is not much space to kite, you can kite in the channel out past Point San Quentin, but be aware of the Ferries in the channel arriving and departing from the nearby terminal.    Also be aware of the rocks.   You can rig up your gear at the Wipika flag out on the marsh, do not launch from the Montessori school as the marsh is protected there.
