About Hua Hin, Thailand
The five-mile beach at Hua Hin provides lots of space on and off the water. North and south of Hua Hin, you will find lots of other beaches waiting to be discovered.
Thailand boasts a tropical climate with warm waters, white pristine beaches, and reliable breezes. Make sure you bring a quiver that can also deal with light winds.
The windy season is from November to May, blowing cross-onshore from the southeast, east to northeast. The wind is quite reliable, albeit light at 10-20 knots. Get up early to catch it, though, as it drops off throughout the day.
This spot is great for all levels, especially beginners, as they will never feel out of their depth in the shallow waters. The sea at Hua Hin beach varies from chop to mushy little waves. The waves can get to a decent size, which usually corresponds directly to the wind speed increasing. The waters are super warm, so no wetsuit is required.
