Half Moon Bay is a spot in in Westhaven State Park. It is an industrial setting with a view of the Olympic Mountains. It is a well-known surf spot and best for intermediate to advanced kiters.
The Beach is a small bay and is wide and sandy with a steep slope to the water. The best wind directions are the W, SE or E with a westerly swell of up to 3m. The water is super flat behind the jetty.
There are some strong currents if you head out of the bay. Be careful of the ships, boats and surfers.
