About Fisherman’s Hut Beach, Aruba

Fisherman’s Hut Beach is located on the northwest coast of the Caribbean island, Aruba. The tropical climate, sandy beaches, warm water, and all year round easterly trade winds make Aruba a popular location for kitesurfers, sailors and windsurfers alike, and a true Caribbean gem. This beach receives predominantly offshore winds from the east, which at times can be a little gusty. These winds help maintain the butter-flat water conditions on the already shallow shelving beach. You can only kite here in the early mornings and late afternoons, as the sport is prohibited at the beach between the hours of 10am and 4.30pm. This is not really a problem, though, as there are many other epic spots to choose from close at hand. Visit at any time of the year, but between the months of September and December, ensure you bring a kite suitable for light winds.

You will most probably fly into Queen Beatrix International Airport, which is located on the west side of the island. From here, take a bus or taxi, or hire a vehicle and drive north towards Oranjestad. If you do go for the rental option, make it a 4x4. That way you can explore the island at your will, visit secret beaches, and tackle Aruba’s rugged terrain.
