Boyalik Beach is located in Cesme on the west coast of Turkey. The Cesme Peninsula is surrounded by the waters of the Aegean Sea, west of Izmir. The name ‘Cesme’ means fountain, and refers to the many springs discovered in the area during the 18th and 19th centuries. This stunning Turkish coastline boasts clear blue seas and unspoilt bays, whilst the landscape is made up of aniseed, sesame and artichoke fields, dotted with fig and gum trees. Boyalik Beach guarantees flat water, with small chop at times, and strong northerly winds ranging from 15 to 22 knots during peak season. Visit between December and March, or June and September, for the best conditions. The most favourable wind direction for this spot is a northerly.

Traveling to Boyalik Beach, Turkey

The nearest airport is Izmir - Adnan Menderes Havalimanı Airport, although you may need to fly via Turkey’s main international airport in Istanbul for some connections. From Izmir Airport, take a taxi or bus to Cesme - a journey that takes around an hour and a quarter.
